include video on my site?

Q. Can I afford not
too?
Answer! Yes and No = My shortest article yet!
Video is key now, it is an integral part of any successful
site, regardless of nationality or industry. People want video
and quality video at that. Boring old head and shoulder talking
shots just don't cut it any more with today's media savvy
audience.
Viewers now days are used to high definition this and blue ray
that. A poor quality video with no graphics or worse no video
will have your sites visitors surfing away as fast as a mouse
can click.
Fact: People actively search for video when browsing for
products or services. Figures quoted go as high as 7 out of
every 10. That is a very powerful reason to use video on your
site.
Video allows you to build a relationship with your customers
that is much more personal than text based media, once
your customers know and like you they will buy.
Fact: On average 35% of people click onto a site after viewing
the companies video and it gets better upwards of 16% then go
on to buy!
Tip: Next time you see a web video that appeals look out for
the following, chances are it will be fast paced with varied
graphics changing every three to four seconds starting out with
the problem followed by the solution then the call to action ie
go to my site, the above is a very effective format.
The question now is "ok video is king how do I get it" and then
it gets tricky. There are a multitude of products online, high
end price range low end and all the ones in-between.
Personally I recommend you buy none of them, unless you have
prior knowledge of the technology involved. The rules for a
good web video differ from those of a good home or holiday
video that goes straight on the telly via the camera or through
the computer to the television. And thinking "I will just buy
the best camera there is" will be a mistake!
Fact: You may not even need a camcorder for your web
videos.
This could be a very long article site videos is a very
interesting subject with a multitude of niches (hint there for
you marketer's) including me come to think of it! But I will
end by saying this I strongly recommend you choose a good and I
stress the word good course and learn the nitty gritty of
website video ads which will cost less than not investing in
the relevant information and skills.
And on that note I will close the article, until the next time
good luck being the next Spielberg or DeMille! "May your
video go Viral"
Video is the online future, and now is the time to place ones
self at the forefront of this next communication revolution. Do
not get left behind missing out on video is harmful to your
websites health.
